Yes, it is harmful for children to be in day-care centers all day. It is harmful because the parents drop them off in the morning, go to work or go and do their errands and then leave them there until the day-care center closes. It doesn't give parents a chance to spend a lot of time with their children, in turn, the children could feel neglected and ignored and will develop psychological problems as they grow older because they would feel that their parents did not love them and want to spend time with them. I think that day-care centers should limit the amount of hours that parents are allowed to drop off their kids per day.
