In order to reduce his or her home's being burglarized, the individual citizen can make sure that there are short or no bushes at all in front of windows that are on the first floor. Also, they can make sure to have alarm systems and keep lights on at night to let people know that someone is home. It's a good idea to put lights on timers so this way when you're not home, it will look like someone is since the lights will be on. Also, try to keep branches of trees away from windows or keep the trees trimmed so that you could see them at night.
