Should sex education be taught in public schools? Why or why not?

Of course sex education should be taught in public schools. It should be taught in every school for that matter. Granted we are constantly exposed to sex on the television and in books and always hear about ways to practice safe-sex and abstinence. Students should have to go through at least one or two years of a health class that covers sex education. The topic gets boring after a while but it does help because we don't know everything and sometimes you can actually learn from a sex education class. Apparently Sarah Palin's daughter didn't learn much from her sex education class since Palin wants to get rid of sex education in public schools in her school district.
